Fools Circle has humble beginnings as a basement comedy show. As Art Director, I participated in shaping this project from infancy, quickly transitioning from indoor to outdoor events that attracted over 600 guests during the pandemic. We have since expanded into venues nationwide. I designed engaging marketing materials on a monthly basis, supporting the rapid growth of our visibility, social engagement and patronage. This work culminated in an unforgettable end-of-summer block party, garnishing nearly 1000 attendees with organic marketing alone. By designing the iconic logo and establishing a distinct brand voice, I played a pivotal role in shaping the identity and success of this venture. Inspired by pro-Black graphics that punctuated the pulse of an enduring movement, my work brought a creative direction that seamlessly fused Fools Circle's comedic narrative with an updated aesthetic, introducing a fresh and compelling perspective to the world of comedy.
